From 2011 we have been providing psychosocial care for the following categories of victims: human trafficking, children at risk of labour exploitation, home alone children because their parents left to work abroad, children and families returned in the country after a negative experience and nationals of third countries.
We were the first organization in Europe to point out the home alone children phenomenon, as a consequence of their parents work migration. In 2005 we conducted the first study on children separated from one or both their parents because of their departure to work abroad. This study was awarded the 1st prize at section ”Education and Research” from the Gala of civil society of Romania, 2007.
From 2003 the advocacy action include information, prevention and awareness campaigns, the development of coalitions and regional networks for fighting against human trafficking in the region of Moldova, training sessions with professionals (psychologists, social workers, police officers and representatives of local authorities) from Romanian and the Republic of Moldavia. At the same time, in 2008 we sent to the Ministry of Labour, Family and Equal Opportunities of Romania a proposal of de lege ferenda for amending Order 219 of 15 June 2006 on the activities of identifying, intervening and monitoring the children who cannot benefit of their parents care because they are abroad to work.
